Internist with over 22 years of experience, Dr. Shura Moreno founded Gabriel Medical Center with the purpose of providing close and reliable medical care to the Latino community in Los Angeles. As a Salvadoran immigrant, he understands the challenges his patients face and supports them with empathy at every step, especially during immigration processes. His motto, "First God, then science", reflects his faith, resilience, and commitment to the well-being of those he serves.


Professional Background and the Founding of GMC
After graduating from the University of California Irvine, Dr. Moreno completed his residency at Harbor UCLA/St. Mary’s Medical Center, specializing in internal medicine. In 2012, he founded Gabriel Medical Center, named after his son, with the purpose of providing close, accessible, and honest medical care to the Latino community in Los Angeles. Additionally, he is certified to perform immigration medical exams, a key service he offers with personalized attention and understanding for those undergoing immigration processes.
Faith, Family, and Human Commitment
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Moreno continued working on the front lines until he faced complications that led to a lung transplant. Thanks to his unwavering faith and the support of his family, he overcame this challenging time and returned to practicing medicine with even greater strength and purpose. His motto, "First God, then science", sums up his philosophy of life. In his free time, he enjoys music, plays Latin percussion, and finds peace in devotional reading. He shares his life with his wife Tatiana and his son Gabriel, who are his greatest inspiration.
